You have to have the right accessories.

Well honestly they can go together its just boring.... they are both neutrals meaning they can go with any color. When you pair 2 neutrals its extremely boring if there is no splash of color in there somewhere, like pink or red. Other neutrals are khaki, white, brown, black, grey, and blue. I would avoid pairing any of these together inless you have more color in the wardrobe somewhere.

Those 'colour rules' are stupid. Black and brown supposedly don't go together because the colours are too similar. Just wear what you like.

too close and too dark, plus black is technically not a color, and black goes with pretty much everything, so it has to have on excepltion. why do u even care? it's spring, wear light colors!
