You're either very lucky or a good planner, the first of June is a great time to go for good hotel rates this year.

From May 28th up until June 22nd there are a lot of good deals. You still need to avoid the weekends to get the best deals.

These are the sites I use to check room rates vs the hotel web site rates. >I always book my room through the hotel< That way I can continue to look for better deals all the way up until I leave for LV.
http://www.travelworm.com
http://www.i4vegas.com
http://www.tripres.com

Travel Worm has a great deal going right now for a very-very nice hotel, the Orleans >I would check to see what the rates are on Travel Worm for your dates, then call the Orleans(1-800-675-3267). The Orleans will price match the best online rate you can find for their hotel.

The Orleans is one of our favorites. This is their web site so you can check it out.

From this site you can access the web site for every hotel in LV.

This hotel is my favorite to stay/play/eat and they have some great rates from June 1st - 22nd - I checked last week for someone and the rates were running $40 Sunday through Thursday and $50 Friday & Saturday.
Main Street Station

These hotels have some good rates for June, but you would really need a car to access either "conveniently"
Sam's Town

Fiesta Henderson

Best value buffets
Main Street Station(L-D)
Boulder Station(B-L-D)
Orleans(L-D)
Palace Station(B-L-D)
Fremont "Seafood Buffet" Sun/Tue/Fri nights

Best "moderate" price steakhouses
Pullman Grille - Main Street Station
The Range - Harrah's
Prime Rib Loft - Orleans
Billy Bob's - Sam's Town

To take in a good show that won't cost you an arm & a leg
Mac King - Harrah's >They hand out 2-4-1 coupons at the booth located in the Carnival Court next to Harrah's. Or in the past Harrah's has give away two free tickets to this show if you are a "first time" sign up for their "Total Rewards" slot club(no you don't have to play a nickel) just sign up. I can't guarantee they are still doing the free tickets, but you might check.

Dirk Arthur - Extreme Magic - Tropicana> This is a very nice show, the tickets run around $30-$35 but they often have a coupon in the free LV magazines in your room or the hotel gift shop that cuts that rate by either $10 or sometimes a 2-4-1 coupon.

Larry G Jones - The Man of 1002 Voices - Fitzgeralds - The ticket prices were $22 - $30 in December. IMHO this guy is just as good as Danny Gans($100)

We go to LV 2-3 times a year for 2 weeks or more at a time and have for over 20 years. >If you have a Q please feel free to e-mail me through YA<

Wow! Those are big, long responses and have a lot of information. My only suggestion is to check for package prices (build your own dates and flights etc) with Expedia.com before you commit to anything. I researched a lot for my trip to the World Series of Poker last summer and ended up with an 8 night stay at a decent hotel, airfare nonstop from the east coast all for less than $900. They also aoffer show discounts and more with their packages. Just a suggestion to help you enjoy your trip. Have fun!
