Most of the time. But not really sure. Because my friend undergone this laser treatment for unwanted hair on her cheeks. Even after 10 sitings, she still has hair on cheeks. She is very upset. So, it is not 100 % sure.

It is working for me. Hurt, yes, but I feel it is worth it. It will get only the dark hair. If you are blond or white, you will need electrolysis on those hairs. I am getting it at present. Also, the sun tends to bleach the hair some, so I have been told to stay out of the sun (Lots of my hairs are white) I am getting it done on my face but I am told the pubic area is being done now.

absolutely works for me. never been happier. have a few more treatments to go tho. To me it feels like a rubber band being snapped very hard on your wrist. i personally thought having my upper lip waxed was worse than having it done with laser.

To Nath K above, if it makes your friend feel any better, I have had about 12 treatments, and still not done :( it takes time. but I am so pleased with results now compared to where i started, I would do it over again every time.
