California Is a pretty big state, It's beautiful and fairly nice weather year round, But glamorous NO.... There is crime there are homeless people (some who come from other states ) , Some places are just gross dirty; like parts of L.A. Oakland, Downtown anywhere, The cost of lving is outragous in some places the starting price for most areas is $300,000 for a small house or condo, gas prices suck, you have to drive everywhere becasue the public transportation sucks.
I love living here though and could never see living anywhere else becasue we got deserts, mountain, oceans, and other things like vegas, and the grand canyon all within a few hours drive away,

i live in california. and no there really isnt any thing "glamorus" here. i guess if you live in l.a. you might find it glamourus, but where im from it really isnt.
one good thing is though that you get the best of both worlds. meaning that we have the beach, snow, and mountains that is just a short car ride away from pretty much anywhere here.
and dont listen to the first answer. if you want to visit the ghetto, and risk getting shot or mugged then visit oakland. same goes for s.f. . i live close to both and they suck!!!

I live in California. And I've had people ask me if I:
1) Can surf.
2) Live on a beach.
3) Live next-door to a movie star.
4) Know lots of movie stars.
And they were totally serious, too. >.<

Yep, lived here all my life...
No, it's not glamorous. All of us here go to work, go grocery shopping, pay the rent, etc., just like everyone else.
Where do you think they get all of those tabloid photos of the celebs looking like crap? It's at the grocery store, along with the rest of us schmoes...
