Since there is no way to know that God has EVER spoken to anyone at anytime, the question is not realistically "what is God's viewpoint, why does God condemn this?". Whether homosexuality is accepted by some particular religion or not will be up to the hierarchy of that religion, saying that's the opinion God gave them, which opinion cannot be verified by asking for a statement from God.
There are some sects even of Christianity which find homosexuality acceptable without reservation. One major one that comes to mind is the United Church of Christ, which, I believe, even will unite gays in marriage. If you are religious and gay, I suggest that you join and support such a church, and not support one that condemns you out of hand.

Well how about looking at it like this....
Let's say that there isn't a God in the first place. Many people believe this.
If there isn't a God, there isn't a Heaven or Hell and there isn't sin.
Everyone on the Earth is equal to every other person on the Earth.
I debunk religious arguments from Christian Homophobes because they cannot prove that their God exists. If there is no proof that God exists, how can they claim to be right about anything? Furthermore, I find that a lot of supposed Christians are hypocrites - who are they to pass judgement on what is sinful? Didn't their mothers teach them that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all?

I live in Canada, We fully accept the fact that it is Law believing in Gay life style is not a crime , I think when two people love each other and respect one another it makes no difference what the sex of the couple are. We hear of men and women getting married and being unfaithfully that is against Gods teaching and yet is it less if your gay?
I know of many Gay couples i envy for the honest love they share. if only the world was entirely blind so we could stop the stupid prejudice of the rules we have set up as gospel.
I'm sure at the final day when were all in front of God there will be more serious crimes that God will deal with then the fact someone chooses to love another person of the same sex. Maybe it will be of how poorly they acted on earth towards others, who chose differently.

I'm pagan, I don't care what the Christian's so-called "God" says, it sounds like a cosmic version of "Big Brother Is Watching You." What I know is this:
The only true sin is to cause harm, especially when it is done deliberately, to another living thing, including the planet.
By this standard, these so-called moral people who spread this hatred and bigotry are, in fact, sinners of the highest order. They know full well that they are hurting people, and they take great joy and pleasure in it. It is they who will suffer for it, in the end, when their karma catches up.

what god??? we evolved and homosexuality is natures way of controlling extreme population growth. i mean isn't is brilliant? this way people still love each other but in most cases don't reproduce. i mean the only other way we could control it would be to start killing each other like some animals do! i think we could use more gays nowadays or we'll have to start looking for other planets to live on!!!!

Sorry but according to what I see around me, its obvious that there is no god...also, if religious people want to be so self righteous they can start helping people instead of condemning for a change.

God does love evreybody even gay people in the bible it says love the sinner hate the sin God made our bodies to fit a certain way and he doesn't like it when we go against his way also I am a christian and I do not hate gay people I think as human beings it is our responsiblity to coexist so it doesn't matter whether your gay, straight, black, white or purple for that matter what matters is humanity and peace between your fellwo man or woman also no one is perfect it says so in the bible it also says that no sin is greater than another so if I told a lie I would be in just as much trouble with god as if I was gay look what I'm trying to say is that we all need to come together and be accepting of one another.
Peace to all and good will toward mankind

Personally I don't believe in God.For those who do I say good for you. There are, however some people who take religion to a whole new fanatical level & no matter what is said to them, they'll interpret the Bible as they wish in order to 'win' their point to suit their personal point of view.
