I really want this laptop and after babysitting this summer, will have enough money to buy it. It's not like $580 isnt a reasonable price, becasue it is, but I just want to to make sure that the same product isnt out there (just as good) but cheaper.

That's a really good price since this is a convertible tablet pc rather than a straight forward laptop - check out price comparison sites such as Froogle, Shopzilla, Kelkoo, Pricerunner, Pricegrabber. I had a quick look and couldn't find anything cheaper - as it's an older Toshiba, the price might even fall by the summer!

Wait until the end of the summer when you have enough money to buy it. The price would more than likely have dropped by then.

When that time comes and your ready to buy, all you have to do is find another major company with the same product (Toshiba Satellite R15-S822). Ask for a manager and tell him you want the Toshiba Satellite R15-S822 ask if he would do a " Price Match plus 10% "

So whatever happens to be the cheapest price is when your ready to buy I just saved you an additional 10% over and above that. :) A lot of big companies will do that just to get your business.

Becareful of going too low because there is a bottom on New products before you hit Refurbished products and pricing. Some businesses although I think its a bad practice will try to pass off a Refurbished or Open Box item as new.

Microcenter has really good prices on laptops. I've bought all my computers through the brick and mortar stores, but their online store has even better deals. For instance they have a midrange laptop for about $450.

Check out www.pricewatch.com and www.Froogle.com

Pricewatch is the place where I go to buy computer stuff. They are basically a bulletin board for the big and little computer sellers that are all competing against each other for the sale.
