Fluids are changing colors with technology and formulas. Traditional transmission fluid is definitely red. The only orange colored fluid of which I know is a new type of engine anti-freeze/coolant. Old fluid colors: anti-freeze/coolant used to be green. It can now be yellow or orange and are not compatible with different cooling systems. Brake fluid is clear or brown depending upon the age of what it is put in. It should still be clear regardless of coloring by old lines. Out of the container it is clear. Engine oil is normally brown. Clutch fluid and brake fluid are sometimes interchangeable. Power steering fluid is usually clear.
It sometimes helps to understand if the fluid is oil, water, or soybean based. That helps to know what might be interchangeable in an emergency. Don't try to run on a different fluid. It's just to get you to a safer place to stop than where you might have stopped. Oil and transmission fluid are oil based. Brake fluid is soybean based.

Go to an auto parts store, look up with type of fluid the car should be using and ask the guys there. I'd say the brake fluid should be clear while the power steering and transmission fluid should be red. The power steering units usually use transmission fluid.

Transmission fluid comes in different colors. I use Royal Purple, and it's just that, purple. As long as it's clean, you're in good shape. Brake fluid is clear, power steering fluid.....not sure about.

Brake fluid is obvious yet could be style of sunshine brownish if that is old. ability guidance fluid is crimson.

Woah, dude. That's psychedelic man. Groovy.

But seriously, buying a Ford Taurus and expecting it to work fine is like running naked down Wall Street yelling profanities and expecting to get away with it.
