TJ,

Great! You have a place to sit and a way to dry off, unfortunately your top priorities when stranded away from civilization are water and food. I'd bring:

Plenty of water.
Plenty of food, in a non-perishable format, such as MREs.
A satellite phone with built-in GPS so I could call for help.
A box of high quality lighters & extra fuel.
A practical Swiss-Army or Gerber type multi-tool.

EDIT: Kudos to people who suggested bringing a large oceangoing BOAT. I didn't suggest that, because, by definition, if you have a boat, you aren't stranded.

Gasoline ( for torches, and start fires until I learn how to do it without accelerators :-)

Lighter

1 set of sheets ( can use them to sleep during the night, shelter from the sun during the day- plus I'll make my swim suit out of it)

my husband ( does he count as a thing?)

Note pad : Play games , manage the fish finances, etc . ( my pen will be a charcoaled stick )

A boat so I would not be stranded there any more. IPOD, my wife and son, and my 2 friends. Other than that I can get anything I need with the boat.

Well, what are the other two that you'd bring?

How could you bring anything if you were stranded? If you could bring something, then that would indicate you PLANNED to be there, and therefore you wouldn't be STRANDED.

Tent, speargun, pocket knife, first aid kit, and blanket.

If I were allowed a sixth thing, I would choose the collected works of Shakespeare.
