When you are badly hurt, it is instinct to not want that to happen again. Give yourself time to recover. When you are on your emotional feet again, ask yourself what kind of man you want. Set your standards and look for that person. Trust yourself and you will learn to trust others again. Scars form. but the scar and the area around it are usually stronger. Hope this helps. Live long and prosper.

I totally understand. And I suppose there are men who have lost their trust in women.
I personally not sure I will ever trust a man again. I was so trusting and naive and totally trusted my X husband. It has been ten years I am still in shock over his betrayal and lies.
What I do now is to check things out for myself. And not just instantly take things at face value. I maybe am still single because I haven't found a man I feel that I can trust.
I think we all experience times of betrayal, we need to use it as a tool to become a stronger and better person.

Just stay away from men and relationships for a while. You need time to mentally distance yourself from whatever happened that caused you to not trust men. I think eventually you will feel trusting toward men, or at least one man, again someday.

By 'men' do you mean humankind? Well, I would say, think about all the good memories with people (eg. a good deed, a compliment, a smile, a gesture of friendship) and regain your trust back. If you look again, you will see that the glass is certainly half-full.

Men and women feel in different ways. There ideas of romance, relationship and even commitment is different.
You must realize that little bit of flirting is a part of man.We women tend to take this is cheating. This is because we give too much in the relationship and expect our partners to behave in the same way.Men need their own space.Just like many women do.
So please help yourself and don't think like that.
Just try to think that men are different than women and will behave not the way u will behave in a particular situation.

From my perspective, losing trust in humanity is a good thing. Trust in my universe is earned by individuals and can be taken away at my discretion. Groups get no such respect as is too complicated to evaluate trustworthiness.

Not every man is a good one. But it's equally true that not every man is a bad one.
I know it might be tough dealing with past man-related issues, but use them as a learning experience. Perhaps you've learned that, hey, So-and-so is pressuring me into sex on our first date, so he probably doesn't want a real relationship (etc, etc).
I'd also suggest reading books on relationships. There's plenty of them out there ... search on Google or Amazon.com. They may give you information you simply can't get from experience or people close to you.
Good luck!

You're probably having a bad day. There are days when I think that people are selfish inferior scum and other days when I think the world is working perfectly. If it keeps up though, you probably have now realized that the world isn't perfect, and you have to accept that all people have motives (including you) and their intentions may not be in your best interest.

Lissa, it is a fundamental truth that women are just as capable of violating trust as men. There is no difference, save hormones and reproductive organs.

perhaps the problems lies in what you are trusting them to do? Like most people they will act in a way that is in their best interest....just like you. You just define that diferently.
