Don't you guys think that the people in this forum who are over 30 think they know EVERYTHING? Maybe they have been married for 10+ years, or have had a dozen kids or the same career for years and years. SO WHAT?! Does that make them more qualified than us? My mom was married for 17 years and apparently she didn't know everything about marriage cause she got divorced!

I'm just sayin.

What do you guys think?

I guess I could explain myself a little better. A woman was on here ranting about how everyone here under 30 is immature and unexperienced. I was just being sarcastic!!

:) :) :)

That's a biased point of view there, young lady. What is going on with you is...... just kidding - some people just have more life experience and feel they need to jam it down everyone's throats.

Some people are more mature than others. Ive been told that Im mature when it comes to relationships and people say I know a lot when it comes to relationships I have even given married couples advice that has worked. Maturity is based on observations and personal experiences, and how you view the world. So that lady can not categorize all of us younger people as being immature and know it alls. She is just mad because she is over 30 and probably has wrinkles on her face that she cant get rid of. Or maybe when she was younger she was immature herself.

Okay, I am not going to disclose my age (some things need to remain a mystery). I did not see the ranting you mention.

Here is what I think. With age comes wisedom, yes, but having experience, maturity and an open mind goes along way!

I know people under 30 who are very mature and I know people over 40 who act like they are 5.

Just my opinion.

Truth hurts?

The one aspect of my impending older age that really peeves me the most is that I did not have the advantage at 25, of what I now know now.
That other questioner was right. At 25 or 30 at most you could have dealt with 10 years marriage.
Remember this. If you think you know what is going on, you ain't seen nothin yet.

I am 33......I think people of all ages opinions should be valued and respected, providing they are sincere.

I can understand the views of a more experienced person being a bit more weighted however. Certainly you can agree that older people have more life experience to draw upon.

When you are older, you will understand.

*I think a majority of MATURE people on here can give good advice no matter what age. Everyone is learning something from someone else, whether it's good or bad or helpful or not.

~So a question or answer we might think is stupid, is actually helping someone else.

.Everyone can help someone else in one way or another no matter how old or young they are.

*But yes I do believe a lot of people are bias and think that they know everything just b/c of their age alone.

I'm 20. I think this site is great because we younger ones have an opportunity to solicit advice from people with more experience than us. I doubt any of them have told you they "know everything." I actually think you're being ridiculous because you don't have to follow older peoples or even youngers people's advice, its just there to help you make the right decision for you. Grow up, seriously.

I'm 25 too and although I haven't encountered that kind of attitude here, I certainly have everywhere else.

Everybody has some type of knowledge, that they can offer no matter what their age is.
