Hey gurl. Softball is an amazing sport. I pitched for 11 years, and I miss it every single day.

There are a lot of different ways to pitch, but it all depends on preference.

If you have never pitched before, I advise you to find someone that can actually show you the steps of pitching. It's not easy..it takes practice. Especially if you want to be really good. Practice is key to success in this though.

There are several drills that you can do to better your accuracy and skill. I pitched windmill, in fast-pitch softball. I'm just going to assume you are going to be playing fast-pitch, because slow pitch is pretty dead..

When you first start pitching, focus on accuracy first. Speed will come.

To prepare for an awesome sport like Softball:

1. Practice your pitching; both overhand and underhand.
2. Practice your grounders.
3. Practice your catching techniques.
4. Practice your batting techniques.

The way I always practice softball is by using my bounce back net and starting up close work my way back by doing grounders, then go back up close thowing and catching. Or I also like just playing catch with my dad! I love softball!!!!!

you have to have the skill to pitch. i assume.
if you don't you don't learn in days.
if you have some one catch you..
if your are new
for practice i would start with a rubber softball and a place that has a cement wall. mark out a strike zone. stand about 15' from the wall. when you able to hit zone continue to work your back in5' increments to 42"
