I mean, the package includes: Renewing Cleanser, Revitalizing Toner & Repairing Lotion. I just have the toner and i had used for 3 days / night and it had worked great for me. I would like to know more about this product. I don't have acne but one or 3 pimples in my face. The product I use to clean my face is Nozxema antibacterial.

what can I do to remove those spots from my face?? SHould i keep using the proactive?

Previously, I heard from my mom that Vaseline it works perfect to ride off and at the same time to smooth your skin. I was using that before but it makes my skin greasy.

If just the toner works great for you, then thats good. I think the reason why it's the three step is so that it doesn't severly dry out your skin because your exfoliating, cleaning, and then moisterizing. But if the Nozxema is working well, then just keep it up. I'd say, just make sure that you are using a moisterizer.

I'm not entirely sure but I know I did use proactive in the past. And I didn't always use all the things. I think when I used to use it for a while I just used the cleanser. It's going to help either way, but it's not neccessary. If I'm correct the cleanser is to cleanse the skin (go figure) and get rid of a lot of the excess dirt and clear clogged pores while the toner will reduce redness and basically get the zits gone (that's why it stings sometimes)
The toner can cause your skin to dry out some and damage it a little bit, so thats what the lotion is for to help repair and heal your skin, without causing more zits (like a lot of lotions will yes heal your skin, but cause them to be greasy and increase zits)

I'm not entirely sure as I used Proactive a little over a year ago.

I use Triaz and Evoclin myself (prescribed dermatology) I found it cheaper than Proactive and ever sice I started (almost a year ago) I've never had any problems and can never remember having more than one pimple, and even that was gone in a few days.
But that's what works for me :)

Sorry I kind of elaborated on that a little bit ^.^'

Well when i have a blemish i just reach for the good ol' toothpaste. It may sound weird but it really works because a blemish is just bacteria under the skin right and toothpaste/mouthwash works to get bacteria out of your mouth.... so when applied to the blemish/pimple it works the same. I just put some on before i go to bed (that way i am not walking around with white spots on my face) so it has time to work and in the morning MAKE SURE you dont forget to wash it off. Man that's embarrassing!

As for using the proactiv system all you really need are certian kinds of products to put on you face and proactiv is just the only company that has put them all in the same package so far. I just make sure i have face wash and astergent with salacylic acid, and a moisterizer to finish. You can also visit websites like neutrogena.com or cleanandclear.com for more product and facial information.

Everyone's skin is different, so it will react differently to different products. What might work for someone won't work for someone else. I have never personally tried Proactive, so I can't comment on its effectiveness, but in general I think those whole skincare packaged deals are gimmicky, and sometimes they can do more harm than good - such as drying out or irritating skin. As for keeping your skin clear, its probably going to take some experimentation to figure out what products your skin responds to best and learning what type of regimen is ideal. After trying tons of different skincare products I've discovered that for me, simple is better for my skin. If you're using proactive and you like it and its working than thats great, but just know that there are other alternatives, and you don't have to buy all your products from the same line. Good luck!

I've never heard of putting Vaseline on your face unless you have severely dry patches...definately NOT for pimples. That will just clog your pores.

If you only get a few pimples here and there, you need a spot treatment not something to coat over your whole face. I'd say keep using the products you have and buy a really good spot treatment to zap the pimples you get right away.

A good home remedy is plain whitening toothpaste (celebrities and models swear by it) (I use it too), it takes the red out and brings down the swelling.

Spot treatments you can buy that I recommend are:

Neutrogena 8 Hour (I've used this several times and it always works plus it's inexpensive) http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100303&navAction=jump&navCount=0&id=prod400751

Clarins Truly Matte Blemish Control (MY FAVORITE SKIN CARE LINE, BUT A LITTLE PRICIER; get at any department store)
http://us.clarins.com/main.cfm?prodID=943

Origins Spot Remover (My 2nd Personal Favorite, it works great too; these stores are in almost every mall or online)
http://www.origins.com/templates/products/sp_nonshaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY5808&PRODUCT_ID=PROD43

Hope that helps!

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://acnehomesolution.com
that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.
