Yeah, I wondered that too. People ask for a simple answer and they give the most long and complicated answers.

It is true someone just asked the ten greatest songs and some people answered with all songs from the past two years. How can the past two years have the ten greatest songs in the history of music? That frustrates me

because it isn't always that simple i have no one fav movie
hell i dont even have one fav horror movie if you ask my fav gangster movie its a toss up between godfather and heat, fav comedy ? happy gilmore, talladega nights, airplane, best war movie? sum of all fears vs private ryan vs band of brothers ,
and you expect people to have a single greatest movie of all time ? or a fav anything of all time ?
but i do have to say that maybe some do, the ignorant are the only ones that know true bliss

I really think they think you ( as the asker ) have an answer in mind that you want to see, so they give a long list hoping to hit that answer. I think people have to be told that they can only give one answer, then maybe they will follow directions. Or perhaps they have so many favorites, they just can't choose.

Well, if you don't really specify the question, you'll just get what people think is "best". which is basically like taking a survey and asking people about their opinions. and that's fine and dandy, but probably not what you were looking for...however, the person brought it upon themselves by being oh-so vague

Maybe it is due to the fact people do not want to make a choice. There are too many choices. People do not want to settle on one.
