Computer science is more theoretical. I think what you want is computer engineering.

As these are both engineering degrees, most colleges require engineering math. They usually contain all the math classes up to calculus 1 though 3, then differential equations.

If you are not ready or willing to tackle these classes BEFORE you get to any of the fun classes (in the field), you won't make a cut.

Having no computer background is no problem, as they will teach you on all the necessary knowledge. So as the math, but you must be willing to study them.

Think carefully before you proceed....

Computer Science is more of the integration of the motherboard, the parts of the computer, databases on the computer etc. Computer programming requires C++ Programming which is rather intensive, but well worth it if you go through with the course.

You may want to consider going into Computer Game Design, there you can be creative and you don't need much math knowledge. You just have to be able to deal with dimensions.
