Are there any advantages of illegal immigration??

There's plenty of negative information regarding illegal immigration.

Any positives other than the migrant farmworkers, who are occupying jobs that Americans are not willing to do ???

A younger workforce to support the "Boomers" who are about to retire. Absent illegal immigration, Americas' population would be in decline and there wouldn't be enough workers to provide the retirement benefits (both private and government owed) for the millions of older workers currently approaching retirement age. This is the main reason the Federal Government hasn't enforced our immigration laws, and why both Democrats and Republicans in the Senate support an amnesty program (by whatever name).

Not even that is a positive mainly because they are working in sub par conditions for below market wages. Yes they get money but not the money a farmworker should get. The fact is illegal immigrants are hurt worse because they are at the mercy of their employers. Also I worked on a dairy farm when I was 16 and made 7 bucks an hour. It was hard work but paid more than anyother job a person my age received.

Sure, for the illegals and those who hire them. In effect, illegal immigration equates to slavery. While the workers do earn more money than they are used to making back home, they have no worker's rights protection and are subject to deplorable conditions that should not be tolerated.

The statement "jobs that no Americans are willing to do" is way off base. If it were not for the illegals who will work for a fraction of the wages legal immigrants will, the employers who hire them will have to pay better wages to get employees instead of lining the business owners pockets. These illegal workers are a burden on American workers by driving down wages, taking advantage of social programs they do not help to fund because they do not pay taxes, and increase the costs of heathcare by using emergency and other services without heath insurance.

THer's lots of positives for the illegals,they get paid by cash and don't have to pay taxes to live here,Their given cook jobs in the best of restaurants and trained what others would have to go to school to learn,yeah the pays a little less but no degree, allthere meals and uniforms free.Busboys,dishwashers,lawn workers,mostly illegals,but older people would like the jobs too. Illegals receive government benefits with no social security card When they all get paid the send there money to there country is tht positive

"Advantages"? For who? I can't see how the illegals "enjoy" spending months (if not YEARS) away from their loved ones, doing "dirt jobs" for minimum wages (if they're lucky)- and getting treated like scum by people who don't think they should be here. On the other hand, having them here IS an advantage for US- because it helps lower the "overhead costs" that employers pay -so they can charge US less for their goods & services. So WE make out like bandits- when we "have it our way" -at Burger King or Walmart!!!

last year 2/3's of all new construction jobs went to latinos.......2/3's of them were illegal..............google it....those are well paying jobs.....and we americans are getting screwed
