In the strictest sense of being *a* (one) word opposite, folks are correct that there is none.

But since an acronym is an abbreviated name for something --either a longer name of an expression-- you COULD have an opposite ('antonymous') expression... something like "full name" or "full expression",

(Now, since an acronym is derived from the first letters or syllables of the original expression, I suppose you could invent a form based on LAST letters or syllables! but you'd be on your own to coin a name for that.... and you probably wouldn't be able to sell the idea of doing things that way!)

Acronym doesn't have an antonym. Acronym is a description. It does not have an opposite.

An acronym is a condensation of many words into a single word for brevity's sake, such as "KISS" for "keep it short & simple."

The opposite of this would be many words to say little or nothing at all. The two phrases that best describe this are "political campaign speech" and "legal argument".

The word, "acronym," has no antonym.
