In answer to your humble question, conservatives do know better. That's why liberals are doing all the griping.

For some reason, Cons/Republicans have this weird superiority complex and the ones I've come in contact with can never admit that they're wrong. Is it because they're never wrong? Hardly, it's because they put politics above country. They think their candidates can do no wrong even when there is evidence to the contrary. Once Republican/Cons vote and elect their candidate, they think their jobs are done. They forget that the MOST American thing you can do is ask questions and hold those elected official accountable. We ALL have our own vision for what America should be and what it could be. Maybe neither side is right. Maybe what America should be is what the MAJORITY of Americans want it to be...proud, reasonable, practical, spreading equality and respect for all people of all faiths, of all ethnicities not just home but abroad as well, a country that sets a high standard for protecting the environment worldwide, because the Earth doesn't belong to America, it belongs to the citizens of the world, an overall model that other countries can look up to aspire to be like. A country that stands for Justice for all, not just for those who have enough money to buy justice. An election system free of lobbyists and corporate donors and packed with politicians who work for US, the American people who hired them. That is what we deserve and those are the principles upon which America was founded!!

""America can't stay the same way forever. You can see that within the past 5 years. That's why Conservatives are losing popularity. ""

What is right and what is wrong doesnt change. America as you say it might not stay totally the same but that doesnt change what is wrong or right.

And conservatism isnt losing popularity, people have lost faith in some people who are posing as conservatives but really arent.

If you polled people solely on the values and ideology asking them about the tenets of fiscal and social issues as the relate to the ideologies of liberalism as conservatism you would see, as it has been that people are traditional valued and that may change a little , but not much.

Probably the same reason why liberals think they know better.

Who knows who knows best. Both parties aren't great all the time with their ideas. The moderates know best I suppose.

Why do Liberals feel the same way? After witnessing the past several months of this community, I can say, with certain confidence, that both camps are so full of crap, their eyes are brown!

Its the same reason that liberals feel they know better. In reality, neither do. Both have managed, in their own way, to contribute to the sorry state of affairs in the country today.

Conservatives believe they know better because they stick to traditional values.

However, they'll always be a lower class in government, because most traditions are being dropped.

Socrates (or maybe Plato speaking through Socrates) is quoted as saying that the more one knows, the more one realizes how little one knows. Conservatives--even the smart ones--have so little intellectual curiosity that they mistake what they *think* they know for all there is *to* know. Hope that helps. Cheers.

It's like asking who you like better? Coke or Pepsi? When what the country really needs is a nice, tall, cool glass of water to wash away all the corn syrup.

Why does it matter if you're famous? Are you actually calling conservatives - cons? The word "con" comes from "con artist" who are people who gain your "confidence" and then scam you. Well, in that case, you should be calling liberals the "cons".
