Here's the deal. My soon to be ex husband works at a hospital and it turns out half of the hospital likes to gossip about what I am doing (which I found out from a friend at the hospital). My soon to be ex has continued and started the gossip about me. I am now looking for a job and several people have told me to apply at the hospital for a position I would be perfect for me. If I apply and actually get the job, then I would not be working in the same area as him. I know how to leave my home life at home and my work life at work. HE takes home life to work. I have been told by several people that they do not exactly like him, but he thinks everyone loves him. If I do get the job, then I would hardly see him since it is in a totally seperate area. If I don't apply for the job and attempt to get it, then I won't be able to see the kids as much (totally other story, he's getting custody).

So my ? is, should I apply for the job or respect his wishes and not apply?

I personally wouldn't apply...just to avoid contact, or conflict. Why put yourself in somewhere where you know there is gossip about you b4 you even get there? or with people who don't know you? if they don't know you but already have a negative view of you from what they have heard it will be hard for their opinion or view to change. So i wouldn't look at is as "his wishes" but for your best interest.

Do what you want to do. He already took the kids from you. Are you going to let him take your decision making ability away too?
