because of fact the U. S. and different first international countries are the human beings who purchase China's (or everywhere) products, it incredibly is quite common to establish a gadget the place products from countries not sticking to CO2 limits have a great tariff placed on their produce. that's not honest to point everybody would not have the comparable carbon limits - some countries might desire to very much cut back their carbon emissions and others might desire to cut back the fee wherein they're increasing. i'm particular maximum folk want to stay in a honest and in simple terms international, wherein case each ones CO2 limits might desire to be equivalent however the only thank you to do this's cut back ours AND for becoming countries to be greater careful approximately their production and strengthen.

Must America follow the lowest common denominator?
Blame is not the object, damage control is.
Individuals must exercise self-control, quit buying foreign made items, purchase locally grown foods and regional products. Use public transportation and less paper waste, you know the drill? reuse re-cycle and walk wherever possible; one foot at a time. We can reclaim fresh air and health for all, China will follow sooner than we think.
Then there will be no need to find someone worse to blame for air and water quality.
We have the wind power, water and sun. what else do we need? Set the example not the excuse.

Where did you get this? Please site your sources.
Right now the 350 million people in the US put out 1.5 the amount of CO2 the 1.3 billion people of China put out. Per capita China will never come close to putting out the emissions the US is putting out.
Whatever China is or is not doing is no justification for the US doing nothing.

We need a new Kyoto Protocol.. The only way China will agree to something is if the United States agrees as well. What is going on right now is "You sign first." "No, YOU sign first." "No, YOU sign first." etc.
The only way either will do anything about CO2 emissions is if the other does as well. Oh well, nice excuse for manufacturing, car companies, and cities to not have to deal with it right now.

Two wrongs does not make a right. Just because China is just as bad doesn't mean there's nothing we can or should do to change CO2 emissions here.

they could:
stop buying exclusively at Wal Mart
call their representatives and initiate discussions with China
work to improve nuclear technology to eliminate the use of coal etc
build a system to clean CO2 from the air
or just let the neocons start a war

Yes, but they are pumping out CO2 making products for whom? That's right, the US. Therefore, in a roundabout way you can still blame the US for all of the world's problems.

By pressing for emissions curbs by the Chinese as we continue to push for cutting edge technologies to do the same here.

China also has four times our population, maufactures many more goods, plus their fuel efficiency standards/requirements are higher than ours.
How does their output prevent us from lowering ours?
