An absolutely incredible play. I loved every second of it. Defying Gravity was one of the most amazing sights I have ever seen. I cried like a little baby the second time I saw it.
Can I just add how scary accurate Marianne D is.

Oh my god Wicked is amazing! The scene with "Defying Gravity" is my favorite because that song is so powerful. I saw it last year and I would see it again in a second. One of the best. The book is good too but innapropriate for anyone under 14 or 15.

I saw the musical twice with the original cast, once in previews and another time shortly after before it was big. They were incredible beyond belief both times.
"Defying Gravity" is the best song ever written. It is so emotional and resolute while being amazingly beautiful and plot advancing. Most of the other songs are incredible as well... I personally don't like the wizard songs or "Something Bad", they're just not as good.
Also, Defying Gravity is the best song to perform. I have three script copies and my friends and I perform it every once in a while. It is amazing.

I would love to see it live! So far, I've only seen the whole performance on Google Video (yep, the whole thing's on there) The only problem that I have with it is that it's a bit overrated at times. There are lots of kids at my school who love just Wicked and call themselves Broadway/musical lovers. People, you must think of the other musicals! That's why I'm mainly a fan of the foreign musicals. I'll get off my soapbox now.

Any theatre geek worth their salt has seen Wicked! In fact most of us have seen it more than once and gone back to stand in line hoping for the $25 lottery tickets for the remainder of the run while it's been in our town! Am I right?

my goal in life is to play Elphaba on Broadway. Stephen Schwartz is a total GENIUS!!! Has anyone seen Children Of Eden? It's almost as good as Wicked! If I don't get to be Elphaba, I want to be Yonah, or both!

I saw it in L.A. about a month or so ago. I had never been to a real play before and I was really impressed. I loved it, I didn't think I would, but it was definately worth the drive from OC to LA.

I saw it in London during one of the preview shows and then once again once it offically opened. It's one of the best musicals I have ever seen. Idina Menzel was just ridiculously amazing. She made you really believe the whole story. If anyone hasn't seen it... they are missing out.

YES!! OMG! I also loved "for good." Probably the best duo in the history of duos.
