How much tax do they take off at a fast food restaurant?
Hi im working only 14 hours a week at mc.donalds, and i'm getting my first paycheck this friday, but im worried how much money will they take off for tax. I think one of the workers told me its only a few dollars. Does anyone know how much they take off for tax at a fast foodr restaurant if you only work 14 hrs a week?

Hmmm.... When I work 14 hours I get about 83% of the pay. It depends on what state you live in, and if you have any dependants.

as a rule of thumb total taxes is 1/4 of your gross..example, if you gross 100.00 , 25.00 will be taken out for all taxes, getting 75.00 net..however, the less you make, the less % taxes is deducted..so you will probably get a little more than 75% of your earnings
