Looking for information that will enlighten me on how newborn babies of any speices automatically knows certain life saving skills. These skills may seem inaine but without them their life could not continue. Life saving skills such as breathing, eating, crying, walking, certain expressions, when it comes to birth: rotateing in the mothers womb to be delivered head first, heck even swimming, and all the other small other skills that are never taught, but seem to be known at birth.

Points will be awarded to those who can provide sources for their findings.

These abilities could be called instincts. Not something newborns learn or develop a skill to be able to do. A huge amount of the things we do in life is done on an unconscious level. There are neurons in the brain and even spinal cord that are programmed in a fetus to do certain things.
