I think we absolutely needed to respond to the 9/11 attacks, going into Afghanistan was the right thing to do. Trying to parlay the Iraq war into a response to 9/11 was a stretch. Had the government called it what it was "cleaning up what we did not do correctly in 1991" I would have had no issue with it. Saddam Hussein needed to be removed from power, but I believe alot more of the rebuilding effort should be done by Iraq's Middle Eastern neighbors - if you want the US out of the Middle East, step up to the plate and do something about the countries led by radical religious fanatics in your own backyard. Do you think if Canada starting acting crazy and started trying to take over Greenland, or if their leader started offering financial support to the families of suicide bombers, we would sit back and let Italy or some country half way across the globe come and take care of the problem? No we would not. I thought G.W. really stood out as a respectable sort of fellow in how he handled the immediate aftermath of 9/11. Since then however, I have been less than impressed. I think North Korea and Iran are far more of a threat than Iraq ever was, and now they are both worse and we are still messing around in Iraq.

To be fair, he was right when he sent troops to Afghanistan. But he made a wrong move when he invaded Iraq. There were no Iraqis connected to 9/11 in any way. Al Queda was virtually unknown in Iraq before the invasion and now they have built a strong faction in the country. He lied to the Ameican people saying Iraq had weapons of mass destruction in order to justify the invasion. If you're going to fight terrorism you should wage war with the terrorists who attacked your country. All we have done by invading Iraq is create terrorists where there were none.

after 9/11, he really didn't do anything. He didn't want to seem like he was doing nothing though. He wasnt able to catch osama, who is the real reason all of it started. Instead he said he was fighting terrorism and nations who are capable of it via nuclear weapons and stuff. This makes him look like he's doing something. He accused iraq of having weapons when they in fact did not. He used this as his argument for going into iraq, constantly telling them to disarm, all the while they were like disarm what? Still he invaded a country that did nothing. Then he changed his story, saying he was fighting terrorsits and dictators like saddam. But we dont have the right to do that. Does that mean we now have to go attacking all other countries in the world who are like iraq? Why did we choose only iraq? Then he didn't want to admit he made a mistake, so he continues to strongly support the war, that way it seems like he has some purpose and he didn't do anything wrong. All the while innocent ppl and our troops die. Now he changed the story again, we went to save iraq and help the ppl establish a government and stuff. All because he didn't want to seem like he wasnt' doing anything, and then not admit he was wrong. The real goal should have been to catch osama, but he's avoided that issue by catching a dictator that has nothing to do with anything. If he sticks to his story, that means in the same way we should invade iran and north korea right? All the while countries who really need help like darfur and suffering. countless more have died in iraq than 9/11. what a horrible president. And to think, the american ppl voted for him twice or he rigged the election again.

I can't think of a thing that he has done right. This has been bungled from day 1. We should have dealt with Afghanistan first and decisively before anything as it was truly a terrorist safe haven. Iraq was not a Clear and Present Danger.

"If you're not for us, then you are against us!"

That line right there is where I felt the weight of the entire universe crumble. I knew it was going to be H-E-LL from that day forward.

It's called, "Trying to remove the speck from someone elses eye while you have got a log in your own." Bush thinks we are perfect and though I don't agree with the radical islamist approach to "cleansing the planet of infidels" I will boldly suggest that flying half naked Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders over to Saudi soil to entertain American troops wasn't exactly a perfect way to show Islam that we are not the very infidels they now accuse us of being.

He's doing great -- it's just that our naive, petulant, TV-obsessed culture doesn't understand that real-life is not perfect and problems don't get solved as quickly or cleanly as we would like.
He is taking an heroic stand in one of the most turbulent eras in American society.
If a Democrat gets elected, we will be fast on the road to doom.

he's always been wrong in everything he's done. He's a poor excuse for a human, let alone President of the USA.

You can't fight Terrorism. It's like a war on drugs. We didn't know that right after 9/11 though, so I don't blame him for trying. Sadly we know that now. Well, we as in everyone but W.

this may be too technical for yahoo but after the invasion of afghanistan al queda was all but wiped out, you see it's kinda like this, the muslim world as a whole viewed them as radical and squashed, it would be as if snake handling penecostal sects were attacked and say baptist and catholics really didn't mind, cause they're kinda nuts, so then we attack iraq, and that's muslim soil and their great prophet condemns any infidel from walking on this soil, it was even a big black eye on the saudi government for letting us set up camp during gulf 1, so now al queda is gaining thousands of recruits because they're looking more sane than we are to the muslim world,

He did right taking Sadam out of power, Sadam was an evil evil man. He did wrong by trying to rebuild Iraq, Iraq needs to rebuild itself.
