John Timothy: This question in no way denigrates any "women's movement". This question is about exploring and learning. Free your mind of ignorance, and respect women the way they deserve to be respected.

A man. If he's gonna cheat, I'd rather him cheat with a woman, I suppose. Good question.

This is a good question.

It's actually guys like John Timothy above that hurt the new women's lib movement. Here's a clue: don't be a knowitall, it's seriously unattractive. You reek of desperation. Desperation to cling to a movement you seem to know nothing about. I get the feeling your motives are less than altruistic.

Personally, I'd be equally sad either way, but maybe a little more mad if it were a woman.

This post got posted on KR so I just had to comment. I think it would be totally worse with another girl.

Just think... You'd be comparing yourself to her, she'd want to fight you, she'd be making mean comments and jokes about you behind you back, she'd be like, "I won" and all that. If it was a guy you could just be like "well he's gay what can I do" and maybe eventually be friends with them both. You can't blame a man for his choice in lifestyle.

Cheating is still wrong though! Forget that crazz!

Edit: Look at John Timothy's profile. He spends all his time trolling the women's issues question profile. He probably is trying to pick up girls or something. Girls can tell when you are doing that! We aren't too "weak" to answer hard questions about us! LOL I'm such a grrrrrrl.

Most women would say a man probably, but I would disagree. If he is gay he is gay there is nothing *I* can do to change that being that I am a woman. It would be more shamful in a way to catch him with a man, but I would still say a woman is worse. When a man cheats with another woman it must mean(or a wife would usually assume the meaning) that there was something she was not fulfulling for him as a woman. That is something she can change and it seems it would be more bothering in a way.

This is a difficult question, but a very good one. :)

If my partner cheated with a woman I would go ok - thats life but having sex with a man would really upset me - Why? Because there would be the possibility that he had sex with one men or more than one - meaning he may of wandered about beats and had sex. He may not see himself as gay but rather hust having sex and the possibility taht he then had sex with me would open up the fears of AIDS and HIV and other diseases bearing in mind many families have been made orphans because their parents died of AIDS.

EDIT: John Timothy - Try Hards really pxss me off why should the womens movement be offended and dont hold your breath for a AMEN you may suffocate

Both and your wedding vows should be your wedding vows. Other wise don't marry a cheater. Know the kind of person you are marrying before you marry them.

That's why dating is always good that way you can know the person and what they are actual like around you and your friends prior to making that big step.

Take a marriage course through the church or another organization and find out whether you are ment for one another. Better to know that way then to go through years of pain.

A man since this means he's been lying about himself from the begging.

The woman is real bad too (darn close), but there is a possibility that the husband did at one point have nuptial love in his heart.

Both cases, the cheater is putting my life in danger and subjecting me to STD's like Aid's, herpies, and other physically painful diseases. I don't understand why anyone would ever HATE me enough to do such damage to my physical and mental being.

I believe that if a husband cheats on his wife, it is really a breach of trust. And that is the terrible thing about it. So in the end it maybe does not matter, which gender it is. But I think it would still hurt more, if it was a woman.

It would be horrible to have your husband cheat on you...even if was with a moose!

If your husband cheats on you with a man, regardless of what he says, he is either bi-sexual or gay.

Many women allow their husbands to 'come back' after this kind of affair, but, of course it changes everything! Be careful you don't catch anything (STD).

If he is gay, he will wander time and time again. He is drawn to have sex with a man and really enjoys it MUCH MORE than with a woman. It's his in his 'nature'.

Many gay men marry out of confusion. They want to be "normal", but their sex drive keeps nagging them.

Rent the movie with Julianne Moore "Far From Heaven". It really tells the whole story!

It would hurt like punishment for some horrible sin either way, BUT: if he cheats with a woman, that means that you weren't a good enough/attractive enough/skilled in bed enough/ for him to be happy with, and that's a total blow to your femininity. Whereas if he cheats with a man, you know that it wasn't anything you were doing or not doing, and that he isn't leaving you for a "better version' of what he had. It means he is attracted to the same sex, and there was nothing you could do about it, and that women in general weren't enough, not anything to do with any inadeqacy on your part personally. So I think it would be much worse for a mna to cheat with a woman, proving to you that either you weren't good enough, or just had horrible judgement.
