Let x = number of pages Ben reads each day
then 10+x = number of pages Jane reads each day.

Ben and Jane read the same book, same number of pages

So

12 x = 10(x+10)
12x = 10x +100
2x = 100
x = 50, the number of pages in the book, Both Ben and Jand read the book, so they each read 50 pages!!
