Bush can't be funny, period.
His whole pathetic life is a joke, though:
He's managed to slither his way through college while abusing drugs, getting drunk, and violating women;
Then he managed to stay 'under the radar' when it came to his military service, thanks to his daddy's money and influence;
Of course, all of his business ventures were failures, propped up by money from family friends and business associates;
His arrogant attitude toward a despicable war isn't funny at all. And, yes - why can he think it's okay for him to be 'funny' when h's killed 675,000 Iraqi citizens and 3,300 U.S. soldiers? He's not funny at all...he's a loser, an evil-doer, and a pompous ***. -RKO- 04/24/07

The soldiers in Iraq are hoping our lives go on as normal as they can while they are defending us. They want us to keep living the American dream so they can come back home to it.

The VT tragedy was an unusual event that shocked the nation. Of course those people who think Bush can do no right would castigate him no matter what he decided to do. Those who think he can do no wrong will defend whatever decision he makes.

People like me look at each situation and evaluate based on what happened, not the people involved. During war, Presidents need to do normal things. During times of great tragedy, Presidents need to set another tone. I don't agree with everything Bush has done in office, but I am not going to look to find fault in EVERYTHING.

P.S. - Aside to Stony - Kennedy and Carter couldn't pronounce nuclear either - so what?

So let me get this straight. You feel that a President should be in a perpetual state of mourning any time the US has troops in harm's way?

FDR looks positively torn up in this photo, doesn't he?
