Half of my big toe on my left foot has been numb for about a week. I can't feel any sensation when it is touched or anything. I haven't fallen or anything severe. There isn't any history of this in my family so I don't know what it is. Help! And if you know how to make it stop that would be great because it's really annoying.

I've actually had that happen to me. It freaked me out, because I really couldn't feel anything. So after a couple of weeks I went ot the doctor, and he said not to worry about it, it may have been the type of shoes I was wearing. So I started wearing open toe shoes and flip flops. It took a couple of weeks until it went back to normal. I guess it went numb from wearing shoes like, closed and high heels. I also had someone step on my foot, so I don't know if that caused it. But I did massage it a couple of times, and it's fine now. Hope this helps! Maybe you should go see your doctor if it persists!

Sounds like you are developing a bunion. Aspirin or Ibuprofen can help with the pain and inflammation. Wear properly fitting shoes, that don't have a seam near the area that is hurting. Make sure your shoes aren't too tight, the older you get, your shoe size will change, with weight changes also.

Is there injury to the toe itself? Do you or have you had gout? Diabetes can cause this sensation or lack of. My advice is see a doctor so he can be sure of what you are dealing with.

You may have a blood circulation problem. You should see a physician to rule this out. Try exercising if you don't already....good luck!
