I am not in pain, so it is not an infection. I do not have insurance, and so cannot see a doctor. I have tried steam, peroxide, and sudafed, none of which have worked. Someone suggested Mucinex, but i'd rather not take anymore meds. Please help! Although I am not in pain, I have never been more annoyed!!

Well, I don't know where you live but if at all possible I would contact someone who is an alternative health medicine person. (Sometimes you find people like this practicing alongside massage therapists). There is a procedure called ear candling.

It is exactly what it sounds like. They place a hollow candle in your ear and light it. It creates a vaccuum and draws whatever is blocking the ear and/or sinus cavity out.

I have seen this done before on a guy whose ears were so blocked that he couldn't hear. He was about to be fitted for hearing aids and decided to do this as a last ditch effort. 9 candles later, he could hear better than ever.

Also, keep up on your water consumption. Decrease caffeinated and alcoholic beverages. Water is very vital to fixing problems like this.

Hope this helps!

Garlic oil works great. I have used it many times to cure ear infections, and I get them often. You can purchase garlic oil in certain stores or make it yourself. Here are the instructions for making garlic oil: 1 6 oz. bottle of extra virgin olive oil 6 cloves of minced garlic Combine ingredients in a pot and set over the lowest heat on the stove. Slowly warm up the oil until most of the garlic has risen to the top of the pot. Remove from heat and let cool. Return the oil to the bottle using a strainer. Get a dropper and put three drops of oil onto a cotton ball and place the cotton into the ear. The oil will draw out the infection after a few days.

There is some stuff in the pharmacy that you can get over the counter. It softens earwax. You use it twice a day and the stuff will just come right out after a day or two. That is probably the problem with your blocked ear. It happened to me and this stuff worked great.

Good luck.

Go to a health food store and get the name of someone who does Ear Candling or they may call it Ear Coning. It is a great, safe way to remove blocked debris from the ear canal and the sinus's. It's reasonably priced as well. Good luck.

I would buy an ear candle at your local health food store. They are very easy to use, just follow the directions. They are not very expensive either, and they really do work, I have used them on both of my young children. Hope you get some relief!
