Yes, it is regionally accredited:

Regardless of delivery method (on ground, online, hybrid), a higher ed institution in the US can have 3 institutional accreditation statuses.

1. Regionally accredited - the highest and most useful. (Everyone from Stanford to UOP has this)
2. Nationally accredited - real, but not as recognized or useful. Yes it is less than regional accreditation, which is confusing to those that don't work with it alot.
3. Unaccredited (Kennedy Western, Almeda, Rochville, Belford, Warren National)

Be sure to check here before you enroll: http://www.chea.org/search/

Is UOP prestigious? No.

You might want to repost with more specifics. If you have access to a decent state school, that would be preferrable. If you are limited to only online schools, there are much cheaper and better options.

EDIT: Never take the promise of accreditation from a school's website, check independently. Some schools will offer fake accreditation or use other lingo that sounds like accreditation.

Check carefully. Some programs that UOP offers are NOT accredited and these degrees will hold no weight. Better yet, find another school to go to.

It has the easy to get regional accreditation -- but lacks the more prestigious national accreditation.

Read the following article before you apply to this school.
