60-70ft long..... narrow at only about 25ft feet wide...
but it's amazing....
it's split it into different parts
the first 20-30 ft is fairly flat and there are a couple of small trees (purple plum - with pink blossom) and a Rowan (berries for the birds)...a patio area to eat out in summer and a gravel path leading to a trellis fence with an arbour & gate. (over the arbour there are pink & white roses, plus a lovely wisteria scrambling) and on the fence itself are various clematis.
Through the gate you have some steps leading down to another path. on the slopes there are a couple of rockeries with various plants (lots of lavender & rosemary, so you smell them as you pass)....then before the end of the path there are more steps down....
which leads to a wooden bridge across a stream.....the stream banking has all been planted up with various bulbs and water loving shrubs.
then across the bridge you have some more grass with a wooden swing - and finally in the corner, two different sized raised beds with more flowers & trees...and the main one with a Robinia Frisia plus rhododendrons and azaelea's.
it took a while to plan it....but it looks great
so it seems do the local wildlife....a wren has started making a nest in some climbers near the patio.

Small, about 15 feet square.
My childhood garden was huge, it was in three sections. On one section, my sister had her swing - a full sized swing. My brother had his hut and his barrel of newts and there was still loads of space. Then there was the path and the raised drain cover with the washing line going down the path.
The middle section was the clear section. We used to put the loungers on there, it got the sun all day. We used to put Mam's ten person tent up in that section, again, it hardly made a dent.
The largest section was Dad's vegetable garden, that was about fifty feet by seventy feet, which met in a point where he had his compost heap.
We gave that up for a postage stamp but at least the postage stamp was bigger than the one I've got now.

Front garden is quite small.
Back garden is quite big for a former council house, but currently looks small due to overgrowth within it.

Oh! it's BIG! I have a large deck, three patio's and a jetty!
I kid you not! I had it all done by a landscape gardener, so it's all work free, I just tend the plants and pull up the odd weed!
Oh, and relax in my deck chair in the sunshine.

A reasonable size but totally unuseable due to the out of control grass and hidden dog turds.
