You mean take it with you?

1. If it has a tank ready on the other end, take it in a small tub or plastic shoe box with a lid. Put some airholes in top, and a layer of damp moss. Keep the box warm (80ish), bit do not let it get hot or cold.

2. If you are taking the tank, drain all the water and put a layer of wet moss in the bottom. keep 80ish, etc.

3. If you are just leaving it for a long weekend, just toss some live foods in the tank and let it hunt.

Well, you need to back up a little and give some information as to what your turtle actually is. The word "terrapin" is used to refer to all kinds of different turtles. The only true terrapin is the diamond-backed terrapin (Malaclemys terrapin), which lives in coastal waters and is generally not kept as a pet (though they supposedly have the best-tasting meat of any turtle).

Keep it moist with a wet towel and provide sufficient air flow.
