I presume this is y = 2x². If that is the case, then the answer is NEITHER. What if x = 0? Then y = 2(0)² = 0.

So, the correct answer would have to be:

R: y > or = 0 (y is an element of the real numbers greater than or equal to 0).

Note that if x < 0 or x > 0, y > 0, because (-x)² = [(-1)(x)]² = (-1)²(x)² = (1)(x)² = x², which is positive.
