The colts finally won the big game last year, but, I actually feel like that team last year was the worst of all the teams weve had in the last 3 or 4 years, do you agree. Also do you feel like the AFC south competition is getting tougher, with the emergence of Vince Young, tough Jacksonville Defense. Share your thoughts?

Prior to last season, I thought Jacksonville was going to overtake Indianapolis in the South. They seemed to take a step backward as their passing game seemed to miss Jimmy Smith. I thought Tennessee and Houston were both pretty bad. Vince Young was a much better rookie than I thought he would be. Tennessee should be tough next year if they get a quality running back. Fisher is a great coach, no doubt about it.
On paper, the Colts weren't as strong as previous years. The acquisition of McFarland was key to the defensive line. When Sanders returned, the defense played better than anyone could have predicted in the playoffs. Unsung heroes of the Colts though is the offensive line. Run blocking, pass protecting and few penalties. Good veteran group.

They were the worst defensive team the Colts have had the last five years, and they've had some pretty bad ones. They stepped up in the playoffs because of embarrassment. There is no motivator like personal embarrassment, and the Colts got a big heaping dose of it by having teams run right through their defense as if they weren't even there. The defense stands to be worse this year with the losses of LB Cato June, CB Nick Harper, and possibly CB Jason David. They had the worst group of receivers in the last five years, because after Harrison and Wayne, they had no depth.

To answer your second question, the AFC South is going to be quite competitive.

VY (if not injured) will be a threat

Houston is coming out of the trenches for once

Jax is looking like the team that nobody expects to do good but still has lots of potential.

Last year's team was the worst, in terms of talent and defense (oh boy, that defense). But that team had the most resiliency because when they had to step up, everyone did. It is going to get tougher, because in that division, every team is always trying to improve their defense to find a way to stop Peyton Manning. Sooner than later, it will be the toughest division in the NFL.

Cults have been coming on strong for a long time now. And with them going door to door and picking up new members all the time, it might get worse. In the south, the Baptists have always had a stronghold, but evangelicals are emerging as the new competitors ..... what?... oh, .... never mind.....

At times, the defense actually bailed the offense out in the playoffs, and as usual Peyton was good in the regular season and bad in the playoffs...so yeah...the mighty Colts offense wasn't all that mighty in the playoffs...

It wasn't the worst they've been, but they were pretty bad.

If they're smart, they'll get Cory Simon to play DT, they'll be set with him and Booger.

The defense just was horrible last year, but they've been much worse. Also their OL needed up step it up.

That's about it... They were good, obviously, but not AS good.
