I love the Kobe at the beginning of the year. When he was dishing out the ball to his open teammates. It's obvious he doesn't trust his teammates to knock down the shots, but a good leader will instill the confidence in the rest of the team. He did drop 39 points, but only had 1 assist and 5 rebounds. He had no steals and not one blocked shot. He shot the ball 33 times and only went to the foul line 7 times!! Lastly, he only scored 11 in the second half and shot 1-10 in the fourth quater. All of this is totally unacceptable for a player of his caliber. Just like last year, the playoffs have become the Kobe show.

Why do people hate him so bad, He is a ball hog when no one else can score, I wouldn't give the ball to anybody if we the team mates took ten shots and missing all of them, If I know i can score and i know i can hit 50 to 60% of all my shots i am going to do it people just hate because he is the best player in the league hands down, they just judge him on his personal life and can get that out of there head. My g/f does the same thing she judges him, they lose because his team is not the greatest nobody steps up there game really once in like 5 games if that. I will stick by my word until the day he dies.

He runs the Kobe show, all right. The one thing about the playoffs is what the slogan was a few years ago: win or go home. In the playoffs it's all about winning; Kobe's game is all about Kobe. I don't hate his game, I just think it's not going to make the Lakers into winners.

And why is that a great feat? It doesn't matter if he scores 39 points, 50 or 80 points if his team keeps losing in the effort.
If he was so great he would uplift everyone around him so he wouldn't have to run the "kobe show."

I think some blame needs to go to Llamar Odom who is not stepping up as a 2nd scorer and his team mates made a lot of bad decisions to. I don't think the problem is his shooting too much but more then anything when he should and shouldn't shoot and when his team mates should get him the ball. Like if he's on fire you don't keep the ball out his hands for the whole 3rd quarter and expect him to get hot again after you're down by 2 every game.

Kobe knows he can't win so he's going to go out scoring like young Jordan. After Oden the talent drop on that roster is absurd.

I am a Jazz fan and Carlos Boozer dropped 41 on Yao and the Rockets. That doesn't mean that the Jazz will win the series just like Kobe and the Lakers will be out in the first round as well.

he might be the best player now.. or arguably ever.. but until he leads his team to a championship.. there will be a lot of haters.. besides, he doesn't have the charisma to be appreciated.. lol..
and regarding the 39 he dropped over the suns? that doesn't mean a thing.. they still lost man

he's a ball hog on a mediocre team! the guy is fantastic but he was such a more rounded player when Shaq was with him and the Lakers were good
