I would eat from certain people. If I don't know you well, I politely say no or take it and not eat it.
Just wondering if anyone else is like that.

I don't eat from certain people, but for different reasons than a lot of people...
It might sound kinda weird, but I'll only eat from people who take care of their things, are clean, have a nice house that they take good care of, or if their really good friends who I know very well.
For example, I was at my grandma's house the other day. She lives in an appartment in the middle of nowhere, and her house smells kinda funny. Whenever she'd offer me food, I'd pass, because... well, I don't really know how to explain it. I guess it makes me lose my appitite when I'm around really dirty things, or messy houses... not to mention the smell.
You guys probably don't know what I'm talking about... but oh well =P

I do the same thing! Or avoid those people.. even if it's people I have known for a little bit.. if I haven't seen there house or heard about there cooking skills I politely suggest we go out to dinner to avoid those kind of circumstances. The excuse of already being full works great!

I don't eat or drink things that people I don't know have brought to me either. You never know what might be in it, or whatever. I agree...only take things from people you can trust.

anybody sensible would not eat stranger food. it might be spoiled, laced with drugs, or just not to your taste. unless that stranger is those dudes who hand out samplers at food courts.

I'm the same way you are...I won't take food from my sister or her family as they don't know how to wash their hands! That there is SO gross!
