For the past few months, his lip has been white and fuzzy and is being eaten away. I've tried fungicides and medicine to kill bacteria. Any ideas what's going on? How can I fix it?

Odds are very good you are dealing with a columnaris infection aka mouth fungus. That's a particularly nasty and hard to treat bacterial infection despite the common name of fungus, which it isn't. I would suggest you treat the fish with Furanace (generic name Nifurpirinol ). That is currently the most effective antibiotic for the treatment of columnaris. Treat the fish per the instructions on the box for at least 14 days and that should clear up the infection.

It sounds like bacteria on the lips commonly called Cotton Mouth Disease. You might want to go pick up Furan-2 but even with medicine it is hard to treat. You might want to dump the fish though because black moores are around 5 dollars and Furan-2 is 5 dollars last time i checked. if you need help email me at Garypiloian@yahoo.com

ok heres what i would do get some ammocillen now listen carefully k when wasthe time you did a water change heres too opions you can try this if you want to save him or buy a new fish but sometimes theres no much we can do no matter what we do ....ok take out your carbon filiter while you are treating ok do it every other day for a week see if it gets betterand do 15% water change after your done treating her i hope you werent treating it too much try ammoicin its a fungus alright but i have had my tank 3 years and lost 1000 fish the first year for no reason they would just die on me hes suffering give it one last shot and if this dont work you ll have to buy a new fish but instead of flushing him heres a inhuman to get rid of him frezze him it slows downher brearthing and he wont suffer any more poor thing and they dont fill a thing its like that shot to put your at too sleep i dont want earther of you to suffer anymore this is terriable but it happends sorry about that
