why guys judge/like girls by their looking and not attitude?WHY?

I think it's the way they're wired. Nature made them this way to perpetuate the species. So the girls who are good looking and flirty are more likely to get pregnant than the ones who have to think about it first.

Yes I know, it is a little offensive, but it is part of our survival instinct. The male will choose the female that gets his juices going, therefore perpetuating the race into the future. Also it's a status symbol, that he has high status in the tribe to have the most attractive woman, ( fastest car, most toys, biggest house, etc. etc.)

Our culture has not yet caught up to the fact that our race really is not in danger of extinction from lack of baby's, (We may still all die from the bomb!)

It's the same reason females go for the guy that has the money. (This is the modern day equivalent to bringing home the kill so the family can eat.) He can provide and that lets the woman get on with raising the babies.

Unless my boyfriend is an alien not all men decide on looks. I am really ugly (don't be fooled by my avatar - it is me minus the spots, excess weight etc) and my boyfriend has been going out with me for a year and a half. He said that he likes the way we have opposite personalities and he has a fight to get me to dance or something so he obviously judges me on my attitude.

I reckon he's an alien though because i rarely see men without a pretty face hanging off their arm.

Girls do the same. Its just the way people are. However, some guys/girls will put up with someone's sh*t depending how good looking they are. I have a friend whose girlfriend is hot, but is also a complete b*tch.

People are always going to go by looks first, but once a person's true personality comes through, you can discover how pretty they truly are.

well, a man is attracted to a lady who he (unconsciously) perceives as being a likely fertile and suitable mother. In some Arab cultures they (famously) like fat girls, because fat means she's rich and well-fed.

Our society holds men and women to impossible standards, because for us, reality is what we see on TV. Unfortunately, what we see on TV is not reality.

you've never done the same? i doubt that, so just ask yourself the same thing. but, guys don't always completely judge/like someone by only their looks. personality comes into it as well generally, but why waste your time with someone you don't find yourself attracted to? (the first thing that you usually see of someone is their face, their outer beauty)

Because looks are the first thing that is noticed.But just because someone is good looking doesn't mean that they are a nice person.And just because someone isn't your usual type doesn't mean that they aren't a great catch. I know from experience!

i`m guilty of the same thing myself...i won`t deny it, i look 1st at a guy`s appearance...only if he passes my inspection do i even consider talking to him & getting to know him...i`m not saying it`s the right thing, but that`s usually what happens in our society...it`s just our way...

Who Knows!!! They jugde our personality by what were wearing,looks,makeup,(if u use it!),our friends,etc.But we cant deny that we do the same thing to them in a sec.As frustrating as it is ....theres no end 2 it.
