I feel weird asking this but i need to know...me and my wife have been having unprotected sex for over a year now trying to have a kid...she hasnt come up pregnant yet, what can we do or what kind of checks can we do to see if one of us arent able to have kids? also would HPV prevent pregnancy?

I don't know about HPV but I would think yes. Definitly talk to the dr about that. The first thing I would do is start predicting ovulation with ovulation predictor kits. You can find OPKs at the store with the pregnancy tests. Once you find out when she is ovulating, have sex on those days. Since it ahs been a year, seeing the Dr is not a bad idea.

Well, you can be tested to see if your sperm is viable and if you have a high or low sperm count.

Have your wife talk to an OB/GYN. If you have been actively trying for a year, they can help with fertility treatments. Does she do charting at all?

HPV would not prevent pregnancy.

Hpv can cause scarring to the falopian tubes making it almost impossible for an egg to travel through there. It can leave her infertile, see your gp for a refferal to a fertility clinic

HPV does not scar the fallopian tubes PID Pelvic Inflammatory Disease does...it comes frm untreated Chlamydia
