as much as history is just just a list of what happened, where and when, it's also in some degree a matter of interpretation.

for example, what caused WWII? there are tons of answers depending on where you are in the world, what your social status is, etc.

even today, there are so many different versions of the truth (just compare FOX news to most other news channels) and you can understand how events that seemingly can't be argued with can be skewed into whatever direction you want.

that's why history is considered a humanity, i guess
