Almost everything that any American would ever need is made in China and can be bought very cheap at WalMart or some similar place.

So why complain that American jobs are going overseas?

Even if we all end up working menial service jobs, we could still afford to buy stuff at WalMart.

I bought a set of towels there once for about $2.50! What a deal. I wish I could remember what brand they were because I'd like to get some more (I had the throw them out because they kinda disintegrated in the dryer).

WE do not need to make things in America! That is not what we are about, people.

America is about INTANGIBLE THINGS like pride and independence and that good old we can do it attitude! Everything else we can get from China.

BESIDES, China holds more our national debt than ANYBODY ELSE--in the form of BILLIONS AND BILLIONS ofU.S. government debt securities such as Treasury bonds.

So we need to save some money so we can get out of debt to China. So shop at WalMart!

Okay, once all the jobs for the middle class and lower class all go overseas to Mexico and China, what are these people going to do to earn an income to purchase anything from Walmart, Sears or whatever?
Also, do you know that there are no Safety standards in the production of anything in China. The tainted pet food is just the latest headliner, but have you thought about what the hell was used to make your bath towels that disintegrated in the dryer that you rubbed your body with? This is the country that let a manufacturer sell fake baby formula to its own people and those poor babies died or became severely retarded.

When it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
In your case, you better think about what kind of fake **** was used to make this item.

If the US would have told businesses a long time ago that if they left the US, they would not be able to bring their wares back to the US to sell, the US would be out of debt and the people would have been much better off. Do you realize it is almost impossible to totally live on items made in the US because everyone goes to China to make more money and then ship their stuff back here for huge profit? How much pride are we going to have in the near future when people don't have enough money to even shop at Wal Mart? I don't know if you've noticed or not, but everything is getting so expensive that you have to work all day just to feed your family and keep a roof over their head for that day. Doesn't leave much for Wal Mart, now does it?

walmart stuff is from China ; un-American thought process ; manufacturing in America brings work, taxes, less dependent on other countries; is it helping us now within our borders , NO. Don't put all your eggs in one basket b/c if someone takes the basket and goes elsewhere , no more towels for you etc ; talk to all the dog owners who lost their pets from tainted dog food from China; trust USA , not China
