I love it. They are much better this year. They can come in and hold the lead then let Wickman close the door. I believe the improvements will get them back to were we are use to seeing the Braves. 1st in the NL East.

Well, it's definitely a luxury to have a guy like Mike Gonzalez setting things up for Wickman. On any other team, Gonzalez would be the closer, but the Braves are already set there.

I also think Soriano is a great pickup, even though he has struggled early. I watched him a lot with the Mariners, and he has good stuff. I know he's been hurt a lot over the past year, but he's great when healthy. Paronto was good last season, and I'd expect the same this year. The only guy I'd really worry about is Colyer - he's okay so far, but he was pretty bad when he pitched for the Tigers a few years ago.

If their starters can hold them in games - Redman and Davies really need to pick things up - then the Braves bullpen should keep them close late. And with a Gonzalez-Wickman combo in the bullpen, they should hold most of their late leads.

I like their middle men. Gonzalez, Paranto, Yates, Villareal and Soriano. I think they will come together nicely. I just don't know what to think of Wickman. I know he has put up good numbers in the past (and present), but he just throws junk! i don't know how he is effective, but I guess he is. Nice pen though.
