DVD reading capability, and either a player with built-in MPEG2 decoding and DVD menu compatibility (Media Player Classic or VideoLan Client, i.e. VLC Player) or Windows Media Player with appropriate DVD plug-in. Assuming you're on a Wintel PC, of course. On a Mac it would be a bit different.
