Me. They had the best record in the second half and especially after the trade deadline. People can say what they will about Avery, but everyone knows he was clearly the best trade-deadline acquisition of any team.

In addition, you have King Henrik who had the best GAA and Save % since the all-star break....you've got the experience with Jagr, Shanny, Nylander and Cullen....great youth with Prucha, Ortmeyer, Callahan and Girardi....and the talent of all the aforementioned. They're clicking on ALL levels right now, and not one person is playing badly. The only worrisome thing is the long time off they've had since sweeping Atlanta, but I have faith that Renney kept them working hard and they'll come out blazing tomorrow.

Rangers are clearly the team to beat right now. Their 6th place seeding is very deceptive, since again, they were the best team in the second half of the season (they just sucked balls in the first half).

So Rangers should beat Buffalo in 6 (Isles proved that Buffalo is overrated, and Miller looked downright awful at times). Then it's possible for a Rangers-Devils EC, and I think Rangers will get their revenge for last year's sweep by the Devils (plus Brodeur doesn't look as sharp as he once did). From the West, it looks like we can be looking at an original six matchup between the Rangers and Wings (and you know the league would love that since Detroit and NYC are two of the biggest markets).

At the top of their game, the Rangers can beat anyone in this league, and that's the level they're playing at right now.

It'll be a tough battle...it's a tough battle for any team to win the Cup...but Rangers have to be the front-runner right now. No other team is playing at the level they're playing at right now.

Upsets ensue, gamers overachieve, lower than benefit, the cap has presented parity to the vanguard of the NHL's perogative to make small funds communities be triumphant. communities like the Yotes, Oilers, Panthers etc. The "my wallet is larger than yours" mind-set died with the lockout. GM's could actually make investments in additional suitable scouting departments to seek out diamond contained in the difficult form of gamers. and no one does this extra effectual than the Redwings. additionally they in basic terms ensue to have deep wallet on precise of an exact high quality employer. yet from my attitude, i favor the PENGUINS to declare Vvictory whooo, bypass penguins bypass.

Nobody. Even if they win the east (not very likley at this point) they would still have to face San Jose or The Ducks. possibly Detroit.

Not going to happen my friend. Perhaps next year. But Carolina needs to repeat to show that last year wasn't a fluke first.

Oh, yes, the Rangers are going all the way. It's our year. No one else is playing at that level right now. All thanks to the addition of "The Grate One", Sean Avery, solid play from Jagr, Shanahan, Straka and Nylander, of course, Henri Lundquist, our new Richter and great defensive moves.

I would love to see an original 6 team win it. whether it's Detroit wich I hope wins. If not I would pull for the Rangers.

Rangers will only win if they dont face the ducks, and the ducks would have to have a VERY unlucky streak to be ousted by any of the western teams.
