well I am ''the cleaning lady'' here in florida i own my own cleaning business and quite frankly I go into peoples home's assuming they have a camera on me i treat there stuff as i treat my own i do things as i would want down if someone is in my home, i dont trust most people but you have to really get to no someone before you leave them alone in your house like say referrals, did anyone you know use the person you are thinking of i would not recommend a service simple fact: they always work in groups of 2 or 3 so if things are missing who can you blame? you wont know who did it no one will ever willinly say oh I did it, think of that use your best judgement try to get someone who cleans say you family or friends house and they know them let them clean for a while when you are home get the feel of her get to know her know her routine in your home etc....hope this helps but the world we live in now a days its hard to trust anybody... p.s. always make sure they are licensed, bonded, and insured and remember , pay with a check - never cash---and claim it at the end of the year...... if you pay with cash you wont have proof he or she was ever in your home to clean it always pay with a check and keep a record or copies of that..

First, don't randomly pick a cleaning lady without getting references and checking them. Make sure you are at home the first few times she comes, don't give her the key unless you feel 100% comfortable. You might also consider a cleaning service, rather than an individual person. The advantage is housecleaning companies are usually bonded and insured. The downside is you probably will get different people coming to your house, rather than just one person.

I don´t have a cleaning lady, I´m sure I would trust her. What´s the point in having one if you cant trust the person, better to do the job yourself

I clean houses. I am in most of my clients' homes alone. I have keys to most of them. And I have been doing this for almost 10 years. Most of my clients I have had for years. I know they trust me. If I wasn't trusted I am sure I wouldn't be working for these people. I wouldn't want to be working for anyone if I wasn't trusted.

A strong box or safe will buy you peace of mind. Nanny cams keep everyone in-line. Video and voice recording are proof positive of any claim. No-I don't trust anyone with my property.

pshh. i don't trust my family in my own house. My aunt stayed over at our house and my mother left a 50 (stupidly) on the stairs counter and my aunt stole it. It was the aunt that got pregnant twice at 16 then 20 without a man by her side. plus she's bitchy. and she hasn't exactly raised her teenage daughter correctly, judging from the fact thet her teenage angst has a body count, and her son is okay. he's not quite a teenager yet though so.... that might explain it but who knows..
hope i answered your question... even though.. not really.
my point was i WOULDNT trust my cleaning lady if i had one, AND if i can't trust my family ... i judt don't really have anyone.
but she's the only fam. member I don't trust. theres SOME other family members that I trust.. but you know. ive got a big ole family... were freakin spanish/irish/mex and these b!tches just freaking pop 'em out left and right. i used to wonder why i was an only child and my grandma had 6 children.
( i was wondering why my parents parents had so mny kids, but MY PARENTS, only had one. it used to confuse the he|| out of me.. but then I got older and realized adults make their own decisions.. plus times were different back then.)
(i'm not kidding)

When in doubt...do it yourself. If you have to question who you let into your home, which you should do, just get the job on your own. Besides, no one will ever get YOUR home cleaner than YOU can!
