how do i print photo's and what do i need ?

HP Solutions (likely came with your printer) does a fair job ... just call it up with you slide the camera card into the printer slot... if that's how you're set up. Another way, is that a camera card can provoke the HP Solutions software to print out a proof sheet array of images, each with a dot under it, from which to choose. You "black in" the dots of the photos you want, and HP solutions either prints those photos or loads them to your hard drive (depending on your HP Solutions options settings.

Finally, fetch yourself a fine piece of graphics software such as Photoshop or Paintshop Pro. Set up the paper size (Print Setup). Edit the photo, Either size the image to a length/width ratio equal to the length/width ratio of the paper, and print, or (with PaintShop Pro) you can Print Preview and drag the image onto a print preview of the paper and resize as appropriate, choosing (beforehand) a template of the appropriate form (like, say, "HP 5X8 Borderless")
