i want to know who were the popular authors in the 1940s...its a homwork assingment...Please help!

There are books in the reference section of the library that will give you lists of the most popular songs, tv shows (when applicable), movies, and books for each year. I don't remember what it is called, but it is fairly obvious (Like "Popular Culture in the 1940s" or "1940s Top Picks" or something similar). I used the 80s version for a report we had to do on the year we were born.
