It may be true. Not knowing can have that certain excitement that comes with anticipation. Finding out can possibly lead to disappointment or regret.

YES!!!! When I found out I was pregnant with twins, my husband and I wanted to know what the sexes were and it was nice knowing but it really ruined the surprise. If I had to do it again, I'd wait until the baby was here to find out.

With both of my kids, we decided not to find out the gender.
Even though the suspense was killing us, we were able to have great talks about "what if it's a boy...." and "what if it's a girl...". And when the babies came, we enjoyed the magic of the moment when the doctor told us "it's a...".
