My husband has been looking for a job for over a year...my in laws have been helping us pay our bills. I felt too bad asking them for soap and other things we needed...So I stole them. I have never taken anything in my whole life and I got caught. I let my pride get the best of me..I did what I thought I had to do and I made a huge mistake. Now I just wait for the punishment and deal with it.

No I have not been arrested. I guess I have either been lucky or I have been a good girl. I would like to believe it is because I have been good.

I always tell my grandchildren that as long as you don't break any laws, you don't have to ever worry about going to jail. :o)

I have a very, very close relative who was in prison in a foreign country. That was a very scary thing as whenever we wanted to visit him, we had to first have an interpreter and that was hard to always have the dates lined up with the prison dates allowed, etc., especially with the language frustration we were experiencing.

The court system over there is much different than here. They had 3 judges compared to our one. The decision wasn't based so much on which defendent had the best attorney and which attorney put on the best floor show. In many ways, (I hate to admit), their system seemed fairer. Also, another thing that I noticed that seemed fairer, they had more set consequences for the laws broken.

In the States, a person may rob a bank and end up with a hundred years behind bars, while the same person may have murdered the spouse and ended up with 20 or 30 years behind bars. I will never quite understand our law system.

Don't get me wrong, I truly love our USA and I wouldn't want to live in any other country. I am just pointing our some differences that I did notice between these two countries when it came to the trial that I witnessed during my family member's court date and what would have happened here.

Luckily, I can honestly tell you, I, nor any of my immediate family have even been in jail or prison. Knock on wood and praise the Lord!

Edit to your edit:

Everybody is entitled to mistakes, so don't be too hard on yourself. You will get through this and someday it will all be over.

Mistakes are made to learn from. This is just a hard one, right now.

Good Luck, Hon!

What constitutes as retail fraud? I got arrested a few times when I was a teenager but it never went to court. I got off with a few cautions. I did things like, drunk and disorderly, anti social behaviour, drinking in a public place, disturbing the peace. Stupid stuff really.
edit: Trespassing too. I just remembered a time I was taken home by the gaurds for trespassing.

I come here because of the fact i do no longer get carry of sufficient interest in the Royalty section. EDIT: Your further info ought to in straight forward terms as extremely ask why, whilst an atheist has a question, do Christians tell them to "study the Bible" or answer with miles of reproduction/previous text fabric. there is not any longer something efficient from such an answer, only as there is not any longer something to be gained from declaring that there is not any god. yet this is a public talk board, a place to ask questions or talk problems with a non secular and non secular nature. we are able to continually get carry of solutions we're not finding for, yet as real looking, to blame people, we ought to continually have the potential to look previous that. do no longer you settle?
