A natural tough guy? No such thing in this world!! Think about it....most people (guys especially) act tough because they are really insecure on the inside about themselves.....hence the "airs" they put on.....

To me Tough would be that when a girl asks a relay dumb question, not to jump all over her and ridicule her lack of intelligence. But to be a thick skinned tolerant gentle man and not once mention that she has a sorry little mind that cant process any abstract thought. Now that in my opinion is tough. To sit there and listen to these so so ridiculous things and swallow of every thought of smashing her ridiculous perceptions of what an intelligent conversation really is. That's being tough!

A resilient person with a take no prisoners attitude. Gets
on with his life without being sidetracked with minutia.
Perhaps isn't always concerned with the rules of society,
but is his own man and won't put up with weakness in
others. Sometimes confrontational, known to be gruff,
usually has a soft spot for his mother and can be sometimes
seen wearing a tee shirt with "Nice=Whimp" emblazoned
on the front.

Tough is an implication that a person is able to hang in there and go through something without caving in to the situation; it is a quality of reslience to experience smething considered a stressor and emerge .

A guy that just have an air about him that he can handle everything without thought of that action and not afraid to do so. Someone you might want to be around in the time of trouble, for trouble would either flee from him or he would meet it head on and protect himself and those around him.
