Some even pretend that people have souls but animals do not. Does this ease their conscience when they murder animals including fish?

If people did not hunt the world would be completely overrun with animals and they would all be starving to death.

In all respects, except one, animals are better than humans. Animals are stronger, faster, some can fly, they have better eyesight, hearing, smell. Some can sense electromagnetic fields, or can jump 50 times their length, carry things many times their weight, are wonderfully graceful, or can sniff out blood miles away. When it comes to nature humans are very poor, weak, noisy, and clumsy athletically.

Humans have only one attribute that put them ahead of most animals. They have brains that they can use to develop tools, learn to use fire, develop language, mathematics, and art. Humans can think abstractly about the past and future and their ultimate faith. We learned how to build increasingly complicated things (including guns) to our benefit or demise. Only insects as a species are more successful than humans.

Now this may be a good thing and a bad thing, a curse and a blessing at the same time. We have increased our average lifespan and have made our lives comfortable. Because of our intelligence we have become more powerful than most animals.

But at the same time, we're too stupid to realize that we're destroying our ecosystem, our resources, the animals and plants around us, while we seek more and more wealth and power to satisfy our insatiable greed. We exploit nature and other people and kill others just because we feel that one of our attributes is better than someone else's (example my god is better than yours). We're destroying the hand that feeds us. In a sense we can say that our brains make us stupider than the animals. Animals aren't destroying the planet that they live on (but some animals, like humans, kill their own kind).

please. its called a food chain. the top of the food chain eats the rest. It just so happens that humans are on top. as far as being superior. we are. their is no question that humans are the most intelligent animal on this earth. in the end we are animals like all the animals you wish to protect. why don't you protect the lamb from the lion? lions kill animals and eat them while they are still alive. their is no difference we are animals and we have to survive. the fact that we produce tools to kill other animals just shows our superiority. if animals had the same mental capacity they would have developed weapons to kill us. go to the jungle and stop the lions from killing when you accomplish that then try with humans. i just have a funny feeling that you will be a lions lunch before you accomplish anything. good luck with your question?

I own a gun and make no such claim. We are at the top of the food chain. Why deny the obvious? I have no problem whatsoever killing and eating animals, it is better than watching them starve.

What happened in the continental U.S. before the settlements? Carnivores ate the deer and elk, killed the fish and kept the environment in balance. Hey, we killed all the predators.

People have been hunting animals since the dawn of time. It's nature. Animals eat other animals. Get over it.

I don't condone animal cruelty by any means, but as far as hunting and fishing, I find these things acceptable.

i'm no wild and vicious or i would not be having this communique. i think of human beings have a bond with animals, exceedingly canines and different kinfolk pets by way of fact they frequently tutor devotion to the owner, the likes of which isn't seen by utilising any random guy or woman you're able to fulfill. yet to assert that each and one and all human beings are wild and vicious is to assert all human beings you have ever know replaced into wild and vicious...

People are omnivorous. If you are hunting or fishing for food fine. It occurs in the animal kingdom all the time, the only difference is that people are lazy so we have created tools to make this task much easier.
